The District 2 Meeting was held in Garner on November 16th. The day started out with one of the North Iowa girls singing the Star Spangled Banner. Andrew and I then had the honor of welcoming the attendees and promoting leadership opportunites. There were six officer candidate speeches for the election of new officers. The guest speaker talked about social media and how it is being used today. Andrew and I enjoyed talking with members during lunch. The afternoon speaker was a magician. “I learned a lot about social media. I wish you all could have been there to hear the importand messages,” said Andrew. We both had a blast talking to members about running for State Officer and Star Events.
