On Monday November 21st, I attended the District 11 W meeting at West Central High School in Stuart, Iowa. The theme for their district meeting was Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds. Alea Padden started the meeting with opening ceremonies and Guthrie Center did the Flag Ceremony. Panorama gave a thought for the day. They did their business meeting which included roll call, secretary’s report and treasure’s report, and then I gave the NLC report and described my experience as a state officer. We then had an energizer and did zumba as a large group. Michele Roling was there guest speaker and she talked about the perfect body type and eating disorders. Next, we attended four 20 min breakout sessions over yoga, healthy eating, alcohol and drugs, and STD’s. We then had lunch and ended with announcing district officers and the installation ceremony and then had closing ceremonies. It was a fun filled day for everyone!
